The Bangladesh Navy has officially released the BN 25/B Circular for the recruitment of Officer Cadets for 2024. This circular provides all the essential details regarding age, physical qualifications, educational requirements, and the application process. Age Requirements
Candidates must meet the following age requirements as of 2nd July 2025:
- General Candidates: 16 years and 6 months to 21 years
- Candidates in Armed Forces: 18 years to 23 years
Note: Affidavits regarding age will not be accepted.
Physical Qualifications (Minimum)
Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 162.5 cm (5 feet 4 inches)
- Weight: Minimum 50 kg
- Chest Measurement: Normal 76 cm (30 inches), Expanded 81 cm (32 inches)
Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 157.48 cm (5 feet 2 inches)
- Weight: Minimum 47 kg
- Chest Measurement: Normal 71 cm (28 inches), Expanded 76 cm (30 inches)
Note: Candidates with excess weight according to the Armed Forces’ height and age chart will be considered ineligible.
Educational Qualifications
General Candidates:
- Must have passed SSC and HSC (or equivalent) in the Science stream.
- Minimum GPA of 5.0 in either SSC or HSC, with a minimum GPA of 4.5 in the other.
- Both examinations must include Mathematics and Physics as subjects.
For English Medium Candidates:
- Must have a minimum of 3 A grades and 3 B grades in six subjects at ‘O’ Level.
- At ‘A’ Level, must have a minimum of 1 A grade and 2 B grades.
- Both examinations must include Mathematics and Physics as subjects.
Candidates in the Armed Forces:
- Must have passed SSC and HSC (or equivalent) in the Science stream with a minimum GPA of 4.5 in either SSC or HSC.
- Both examinations must include Mathematics and Physics as subjects.
Note: Candidates who are appearing for the HSC or equivalent examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply.
Marital Status
- The candidate must be unmarried.
Nationality
- The candidate must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
